Troy-Bilt TB70SS 17-Inch 31cc 2-Cycle Gas Powered Straight Shaft String Trimmer With Detachable Shaft Overview
The Troy-Bilt 2-cycle 31 cc clutch gas trimmer features convenient EZ-Start choke technology, which allows the user to simply flip the choke, prime the engine, and then give a slow, smooth, easy pull for a guaranteed start. The EZ-Start technology allows the trimmer's engine to engage with 55-percent less effort than most gas models. With its rugged 31 cc engine, the trimmer provides plenty of brawn to power through the most ragged, overgrown growth. The trimmer's professional-style straight-shaft, split-boom design gives easy access underneath low-growing shrubs. The trimmer cuts in a 17-inch radius and features heavy-duty, 0.095-inch dual lines with convenient bump-head line release.
When it's time to replace the line, the featured SpeedSpool line replacement system is exceptionally easy to load and rewind, all without removing the spool or taking it apart. The entire trimmer feels exceptionally balanced and comfortable in the hand, and the ergonomic soft-grip D-shaped handle easily adjusts for both right and left-handed users. The trimmer's engine and upper handle is compatible with other Troy-Bilt EZ-Link attachments (sold separately), a feature that allows you to turn your trimmer into an edger, cultivator, hedge trimmer, blower, or pole saw. The trimmer comes with all the necessary oil for immediate operation, and is covered by a 2-year limited warranty.

It's cheap, and it shows. - M. Sirchuk - Portland, OR United States
This is a cheap trimmer if only the last couple of seasons before you get tired and want to replace it with a better model, and then be expected by all means, go for it. My second season in the starting line pull broken. This is not covered by warranty, and led me to replace a bit 'more than 3 hours, them. A real pain in the ass.
I'm not really satisfied with the performance is, it seems a lot of sink. I hope we get 1 more season, used, before starting the search for aReplacement.
Oh, and by season, I mean about 4-5 uses a year. Yes, the speed with which he broke the line.
Will not hold up beyond 2 seasons of use! - NitLSU - Lewisville, TX United States
I thought the TB-70SS by Lowe's, is sufficient for my needs home (/ cutting board every 1-2 weeks) would, but failed in its third season now.
The first problem I had, even as some other reviewers said, was the impact head, you feel beaten up after a few uses (and I know how to us a trimmer). Reloading line bump head, which meant traffic jams shut, always the whole tool box, spray WD40, hoping it would open. Regardless, it took at least 20Minutes.
I also had problems getting bogged down with the trimmer in a slightly larger patch of weeds. The engine and clutch is quite heavy, but not much power. In my second season with the engine / clutch started, I would be problems - the engine revs without the trigger and the end of the season (perhaps because of the issue of the engine above) from the clutch and helped the trimmer useless Redline. This, after all maintenance / Storage informationin the instruction manual to the letter!
Another problem - If you use this trimmer for edging (as will be flipped 90 degrees), you'll notice that the gas cap down and the cap and the gasket / washer interior are made of expensive materials and begin leaking fuel faces and I need not say that the dangers of heat added to the engine. Another Reviewer explained - see the best of luck, spare parts (including filler cap) for this. Overall, this cheapo trimmers builtFirefox has never really been designed and tested in the design / construction phase. Never buy a Troy-Bilt again.
For my third season I have a T222 SHINDAIWA, which is purchased from their online HomePro. Yes, it costs $ 120 more than in this piece of junk, but you will make the difference between mmoment pick up and feel using it. I used to shed some more weed growth from the winter and 'just pulled down the big, thick patch of weeds. The performance is remarkable, its lightercompared to TroyBilt is ergonomic and the best feature is that the cross head speed, you should not do is load more than 30-45 seconds. Watch the video

The only catch is that you are an authorized dealer SHINDAIWA going to buy one (which does not sell online).
My suggestion to readers, given the TB70SS - seems cheap now, but in a year or twoRegret your purchase. Put some 'money more immediately and get something better as SHINDAIWA or Stihl.
Line feeder is a problem - Carl Matthews - Rutherfordton, NC USA
I bought the trimmer TB70SS String attack farmer. Everything works fine except that the heads of the power line that came with your device. It is the power line impact can be? Absolutely, but his impact is quite the line too. Never had this problem before with any other trimmer. The entire coil (15-20 ft of line flushing) before the process is complete. I tried the bonus fixed head supplied with the device, but it is useless, because the line keeps flies off his head during use. Ieven decreased at Lowe's to ask, and I was sure, assembly and blocking the line correctly. I am disappointed because this is my first unit built Troy. I never had this problem with other brands in the last 20 years. I asked online TroyBuilt if they had any suggestions. They gave me their warranty blurb, and asked me to authorized service center. They do not understand that there is nothing wrong with the device if not for their design? I think I have a universal head and try. Notimpressed everyone with their response and support online.
Very tough to start, unreliable, needs repair quickly - Mom to 4 - San Ramon, CA
This trimmer was always difficult to start, even if brand new. The cable has a good start, but after minimal use, rewind the cable is not working properly and eventually stopped completely. We repaired the (worked for the sum of $ 40), the cable pull to use and then broke again.
We gave him a star, because if we could get the thing started, did a good job of finishing green. He had a lot of power, but it was a lot more work than it was worth it.We had less than 6 months and is already worthless. Do not buy this - it's done right!
