I use this item and love for three reasons:
(A) There is a space savings compared to a regular edger. All I know is not so much space in my garage.
(2) It saves money, because this is the end of your performance SHINDAIWA head / rod assembly, and then through the purchase of plant String trimmer, you have two tools, but only a gas engine to care. The total cost will be less than buying two separate instruments.
(3) It 's easy "target." Once I hadthe hang of it, I found it easy to avoid hitting the pavement or road with the blade.
As another reviewer mentioned, it is not for edging around flowerbeds and the like, if you then capabililty, this is probably not the model for you.
To do a good job, you must have spent just to be on the engine RPM, I know all of your neighbors go to the sound of your efforts will be processed by ... if this is a factor.
I do not think is so powerfulof regular gas-powered edger is a good idea, often on board. If you go the road pavement or groped after releasing things margin for a month or two, you're right hard on your hands.
I recommend it, especially for someone who is just on the sidewalk and the road to a much small and medium border.

Not my favorite attachment - New England Yankee - Northern New England
I own, use it, but I do not particularly like. This is not an indictment or SHINDAIWA Swisher is - is a comment on this type of edger. Edger Blade nothing more than a cut slit. They work best on sidewalks and pavement edges, but they can easily chip the sidewalk or edge of the foot. They are practically useless, as edgers bed, where he recommended really only so that an existing cutting board can be cleaned ... and where a string trimmer works just as well.
